{"About the Opportunity": "We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for utilizing advanced ultrasound technology to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and hemodynamics. You will work closely with our Echocardiologists to obtain diagnostic recordings, evaluate pathological findings, and prepare summaries of findings. This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule, including on-call rotations and travel to various sites.

Key Responsibilities:

* Utilize advanced ultrasound technology to evaluate cardiac anatomy, function, and hemodynamics
* Work closely with Echocardiologists to obtain diagnostic recordings and evaluate pathological findings
* Prepare summaries of findings and maintain accurate patient files
* Maintain a professional attitude and practice good patient care at all times

Requirements:

* Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
* Sonography Canada certification
* Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
* Current BLS certification
* Minimum of one year clinical experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a tertiary care setting
* Experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, TEE, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Exercise Stress Echo, and Research Echo
* Experience with Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and IntelliSpace Workstations
* Competencies in other languages, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives:

* $39.96 hourly
* Market Adjustment of approximately $0.23 biweekly
* Eligible for benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan
