About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Worker to join our SNAP East team at the Child Development Institute. As a Family Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families in need, providing guidance and resources to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assessments and treatment planning to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families
  • Provide individual, family, and group counselling services to children and families
  • Develop and implement case management plans to address the unique needs of each family
  • Collaborate with internal and external professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and research-based interventions
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Eligibility to register with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario
  • Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic or clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
