Job Summary:

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a high level of sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their tasks.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet the needs of the store.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform management decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
