Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At Woodstock Grocers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel.
  • Assign tasks and duties to staff members to ensure efficient store operations.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff members to improve their skills and performance.
  • Monitor and control store inventory, including ordering merchandise and managing stock levels.
  • Authorize payments and manage store finances.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the stockroom and display areas.
  • Collaborate with other store managers and department heads to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
