Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

Woodstock Grocers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train sales staff to meet sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage store inventory, including ordering and receiving merchandise, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Authorize payments and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with the management team to achieve business objectives and improve store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and take initiative.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
