As the Accounting and Front-End Operations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role within the store management team, assisting the Franchise Owner in delivering exceptional and consistent customer service.

In this capacity, you will be proficient in cashier operations, overseeing a team of front-end staff, and ensuring that store administration and cash office functions are executed seamlessly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the cash office operations efficiently (including pickups, deposits, and minimizing cash losses).
  • Providing support to the front-end team of cashiers, acting as a subject matter expert on front-end processes, and delivering training as needed.
  • Supervising front-end cashiers to ensure smooth department operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and referring complex issues to management while contributing to the performance management process.
  • Executing store administration tasks (such as weekly accounting, invoice payments, reconciliations, and inquiries related to bank statements and general ledger).
  • Processing payroll to guarantee accurate and timely employee compensation.
  • Overseeing benefit and pension administration.
  • Mitigating potential losses through effective management strategies, including buggy management, test orders, and minimizing refunds/overrides.
  • Ensuring the implementation of all loss prevention standards, managing daily cash office inventory, cashier tracking, and adherence to PC Optimum procedures.
  • Performing any additional duties necessary to ensure courteous service, competitively priced products, and a store that upholds the specified hygiene standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in cashier and cash office operations is essential.
  • 1-3 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise in all front-end cashier operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to address customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Skills in issue management, attention to detail, time management, conflict resolution, and team building to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Availability for shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, is an asset.
