About the Subreddit Success Team
The Subreddit Success team is responsible for helping build and activate successful communities on Reddit. Our goal is to provide community founders with the right tools and resources to create and grow their communities.
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced iOS Software Engineer III to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will drive technical and product strategy, operations, and execution for one of the largest sites in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy.
- Contribute to the full development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Participate in a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers to improve developer workflows and mentor junior engineers.
- Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of + years of professional software development experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, using Swift.
- Expertise in Swift and Objective-C.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and keep projects on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams in a fully remote environment.
- BS degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical, professional, hands-on experience.
- Experience with software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, Rust, and C++.
- Additional knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and API design is a plus.
