Position Overview:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (Systems & Projects), the Human Resources Systems Specialist serves as the primary expert and functional leader, providing daily operational assistance and troubleshooting while supporting upgrades and enhancements for the organization's Human Capital Management System (HCMS), Oracle HCM Cloud, known internally as CONNECT.

The Human Resources Systems Specialist collaborates with site Human Resources and Operations teams, as well as Shared Services teams, focusing on the Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Talent modules within the CONNECT system. This role is integral to a team that supports the CONNECT system and assists with other modules such as Reports & Analytics, Learning, and Payroll. The incumbent will also oversee HR user security within the system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data while delivering exceptional service and experiences for team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary expert and functional leader for the company's Core HR, Absence, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Talent modules.
  • Manage user security, including setting up access and responsibilities for site HR and administrative roles within Shared Services and IT.
  • Provide daily operational support and resolve issues for end users and site HR and Operations teams, escalating technical issues to the appropriate support teams and ensuring resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain administrative manuals and end-user documentation related to assigned modules.
  • Educate users on the CONNECT system and facilitate end-user training sessions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the Systems & Projects team to implement system workflows and functionalities, gather business requirements, conduct gap analyses, perform testing, and analyze results for ongoing enhancements of the CONNECT system.
  • Assist with quarterly releases impacting assigned modules, including reviewing documentation and analyzing requirements, preparing test cases for new features, updating documentation, and providing training.
  • Audit and monitor data integrity within CONNECT and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Systems & Projects team on future implementations of additional CONNECT modules, which may include Workforce Compensation and the Talent Management suite.
  • Support the maintenance of other CONNECT modules, including Reports & Analytics, Learning, and Payroll.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Operations, with a focus on project-based or systems work.
  • Experience with cloud-based HCM (specifically Oracle HCM Cloud) or other cloud Human Resource Management Systems is an asset.
  • Ability to assess business processes, conduct gap analyses, and propose system workflows.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining end-user documentation and manuals.
  • Self-motivated individual with a focus on systems and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical, resourceful, diplomatic, and proactive in problem-solving.
