Job Summary:
The Audiologist will be responsible for assessing hearing functions, developing treatment plans, and ensuring their implementation to improve or re-establish communication in the human environment. This role will also involve participating in clinical teaching and collaborating with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, determine treatment plans, and ensure their implementation to improve or re-establish communication.
- Clinical Teaching: Participate in clinical teaching and training of students and colleagues.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective communication and treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's Degree in Audiology.
- Professional Certification: Member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec.
- Experience: Two years of relevant experience in audiology.
Skills and Abilities:
- Cultural Competence: Ability to integrate Eenou/Eeyou (Cree) culture, values, traditions, and teachings into programming.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Critical Thinking: Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Leadership: Possess leadership skills in working with individuals and groups.
- Technology: Good working knowledge of computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
Language: Fluent in English; fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.
Other: Willing to travel.
