Their innovative Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network is set to transform global broadband connectivity.
We are seeking a Configuration Control Specialist to contribute to the pioneering LEO Satellite initiative. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Configuration Control methodologies and practices, with hands-on experience in recognized standards such as CM2, ANSI-EIA 649, or ISO 10007.
The primary role of the Configuration Control Specialist involves overseeing the management of Change Requests, Change Proposals, and Requests for Variance from their inception to approval and execution. This includes ensuring precise, timely, and effective coordination, control, review, approval, and management of changes.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring three days in the office, with occasional travel expected.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the assignment of change document identifiers.
- Record registered changes and maintain the Change Log.
- Facilitate the processing of proposed changes to ensure proper prioritization and adherence to established change process workflows.
- Assist in preventing unauthorized changes by monitoring Configuration Control Processes.
- Analyze change-related data to ensure compliance with Configuration Control, Business, and Regulatory/Security standards.
- Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to make Change Control and Configuration Management processes more efficient and cost-effective.
- Manage the assignment and documentation of document identifiers.
- Log and archive program documents while maintaining their status in the Document Library.
- Oversee the Document Library and manage access to all program-related data, files, reports, briefings, drawings, and documentation.
- Collaborate with various business and technical teams to track and document development status.
- Generate Release Notices as necessary to inform the Program of received, completed, and approved documentation.
- Support the definition, development, implementation, and enhancement of Document Management processes, procedures, and systems.
- Define and update training materials related to document management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Library Information Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of related experience can substitute for one year of education).
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in Data Management and/or Configuration Management.
- Formal training or certification in Configuration Management standards such as CM2, ANSI-EIA 649, or ISO 10007, or applicable experience as an ITIL Change Manager/Coordinator.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
