Public Health Nurse Specialist

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team in Sechelt, BC. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize public health nursing knowledge and expertise to develop and implement health promotion programs and services.
- Provide education and support to individuals, families, and communities on health-related topics.
- Collaborate with community partners and healthcare teams to identify and address health needs and priorities.
- Conduct health assessments and provide referrals to community resources as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote health and well-being.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of specialty nursing certificate (20 hour breast/chest feeding education), BCCDC immunization certificate, BCCNM certified practice designation in contraceptive management and/or STI, as applicable and two (2) years' recent, related public health nursing experience.
- Valid BC Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
