Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a key member of our clinical nutrition team, you will be responsible for providing expert nutrition care to patients across diverse demographics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective nutrition care plans to meet the specific needs of patients
  • Assess the efficacy of nutrition care plans and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to modify and implement guidelines, protocols, and professional care standards
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in dietary methodologies to inform clinical practice
  • Design and deliver training sessions and educational initiatives to promote best practices in clinical nutrition
Qualifications:
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition with completion of an accredited dietetic internship program
  • Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and membership with Dietitians of Canada (an asset)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Broad-based understanding of clinical nutrition needs across diverse patient populations
  • Experience with Enteral and Parenteral nutrition support required
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Possesses outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes in patient care and the evolving healthcare landscape
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of patients and the profession
  • Capability to effectively use information technology to enhance and support clinical practice
  • The capacity to work cohesively as part of a collaborative team
