Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Self Service Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Self Service Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with the processing of transactions through our self-service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to customers using our self-service options, including answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist customers with transactions, including scanning items, handling returns, and resolving issues with self-service equipment.
  • Self-Service Area Maintenance
    • Ensure the self-service area is clean, organized, and free of debris and obstructions.
    • Perform quality checks on self-service equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, including prices, promotions, and product features.
    • Use product knowledge to assist customers with their purchases and answer questions.
  • Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with other associates to achieve sales and customer service goals.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Previous customer service experience an asset.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
