Position Overview
As an Aggregate Transport Operator, your primary responsibility will be to transport materials such as crushed rock, sand, and gravel to designated locations. You will ensure compliance with weight restrictions and verify the types of materials being transported. Adhering to provincial and federal regulations, as well as organizational standards, is crucial to maintaining safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, including fueling and cleaning the vehicle.
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and clients.
  • Accurately report hours worked and materials transported.
  • Deliver a positive experience for customers.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Class 1 or Class 3 BC Driver's License with air brake endorsement.
  • Experience with manual transmission vehicles.

The Aggregate Transport Operator should demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Familiar with construction site safety protocols and truck maintenance standards.
  • Dependable and trustworthy.

  • Effective judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and respond to team requests.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Physically fit to perform demanding tasks, including frequent rotations, dexterity, and prolonged sitting.
  • Comfortable with climbing and accessing equipment.

Accountability
The Aggregate Transport Operator will report directly to the Construction Administrative Coordinator (Dispatch).

Work Schedule

  • Typical hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Overtime may be required during peak construction periods.
