We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Design Engineer to join our team at Burnside & Associates Limited. As a leading provider of engineering services, we specialize in a variety of projects, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, transportation infrastructure, condition audits, and water/wastewater facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HVAC and plumbing design, drawings, specifications, and construction reviews for various building services;
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems into the overall project;
  • Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, drawings, and specifications;
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with design specifications;
  • Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and budget to ensure projects are completed within established parameters;
  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders and outside agencies;
  • Troubleshoot system-related issues during and post-installation;
  • Write reports and supporting documentation for project submissions;
  • Proposal writing;
  • Engineering support to multi-discipline project teams as needed;
Requirements:
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario with a minimum of 7 years of mechanical design experience;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential;
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems and proficiency in CAD and HVAC design software;
  • Strong proposal and technical writing skills;
