Job Opportunity

CRB is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from simple to complex, and collaborate with subject matter experts across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical discipline deliverables and budget on projects of varying sizes. This will involve coordinating with internal and external architects and engineers, as well as clients, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendors. You will also manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities, and direct the work of others on projects.

You will act as the mechanical point-of-contact for clients, other disciplines, and pre-con services for their scope areas. Additionally, you will help complete complex project code analysis, plan and prepare bid/permit/construction deliverables, and understand the technical and design aspects of CRB's market areas.

You will develop project documents, such as calculations, reports, and construction drawings and specifications, for clients according to regulatory and industry standards. You will also work with other disciplines to ensure system designs are fully coordinated from conception through completion.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. 10+ years of experience in a design firm setting
  3. Professional Registration (Licensure)
  4. Advanced experience with performing engineering calculations and developing and implementing HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing/drainage fixture, fire protection, and piping systems designs
  5. Advanced experience with the mechanical/plumbing/fire code, and applicable building codes
  6. Advanced experience conducting and leading field surveys of existing conditions and support of field reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  2. LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design accredited professional
  3. Intermediate experience with troubleshooting issues with mechanical systems
