We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Information Systems Analyst to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and validating our laboratory information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and test laboratory information systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Investigate and correct laboratory system errors and provide staff training as required.
- Work with other LIS Analysts and receive guidance and direction from LIS Coordinators.
- Collaborate with other teams to install system interfaces and equipment.
- Perform quality assurance activities such as following up and investigating incident reports.
- Design and develop reports for clinical and laboratory business purposes.
- Provide instruction to system users on routine operations, maintenance, and problem correction.
- Graduation from a recognized program in Medical Laboratory Science and certification with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
- Three (3) years recent, related experience as a Laboratory Technologist including recent, related involvement in LIS maintenance and testing.
- Diploma in Information Technology or related field supplemented with courses in communications and/or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively in a supportive and positive manner.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
