Job Title: Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Randstad Canada. The successful candidate will play a key role in our client's Laboratory team, interacting with Operations and Shipping personnel to ensure Quality Management System requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of production, effluent, and final product samples.
  • Sampling of production, effluent, and final product streams.
  • Reporting of test results and analysis.
  • Collaboration with operations and shipping personnel to meet testing and reporting requirements.
  • Assistance with troubleshooting process issues and preparation of chemicals and reagents for use in testing.
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Development of methods and documentation of procedures.
  • Training of plant personnel on testing procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of analytical laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation of HPLC, IC, GC, and ICP would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in method development and procedures documentation.
  • Experience in an industrial plant environment would be an asset.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Principles and Quality Control Procedures.
  • Ability to work with moderate lifting and light physical activities.
  • Familiarity with SAP would be an asset.
