About Us: The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver is a leading organization in the community, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Systems Business Analyst to join our team.



Overview:

This role plays a critical part in driving business value through strategic technology planning, process improvement, and change management. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.



Job Description:

The Senior Information Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying solutions, and implementing technology projects that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency. This includes conducting requirements gathering sessions, developing functional specifications, creating test plans, and coordinating project implementation.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business requirements and developing technical solutions;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement technology projects;
  • Developing and maintaining functional specifications, test plans, and other project documentation;
  • Providing training and support to end-users on new systems and processes;
  • Evaluating and recommending IT vendors and solutions;
  • Maintaining accurate records and metrics related to project progress and system performance.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit or private sector organization;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and data analytics tools;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and cybersecurity best practices.


Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including:
