Senior Professional, Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Professional, Engineering to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering engineering projects and activities related to major milestones for one of our existing or new platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Manage cross-functional teams to establish scope, schedule, and budget for engineering projects;
- Lead and coordinate technical engineering change planning to ensure completeness and harmonization with stakeholders;
- Enforce adherence to Bombardier practices and knowledge standards to promote integrity and consistency in technical engineering activities;
- Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure adherence and compliance of project scope, schedule, and budget;
- Manage and establish engineering-related priorities between projects and activities, complete strategic schedule analysis, and communicate and harmonize these priorities;
- Identify and report on risks and lead risk mitigation planning and execution;
- Participate and/or coordinate within internal safety and security processes to assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies with cross-functional stakeholders;
- Prepare and provide visibility of budget requirements and resource allocation;
- Prepare and present visibility reports for various levels of the organization;
- Coordinate Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) cross-functional reviews;
- Coordinate and manage multi-site activities and remote participation as necessary;
- Coordinate formal engineering document release (drawings, mods, compliance documents, service bulletins, etc.).
- Engineering degree or relevant diploma with equivalent working experience, with 5-8 years in project management or aerospace;
- Familiarity with program/project management processes and principles;
- Sound aircraft technical and/or manufacturing experience;
- Previous experience in structural and/or systems development would be an asset;
- Professional attitude and superior communication skills;
- Excellent organizational, time management skills, foresight, accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to objectives and responsibilities;
- Natural leadership and proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Self-motivated, autonomous, enthusiastic, and results-oriented;
- Technically curious;
- Ability to work willingly and independently in a fast-paced, challenging environment;
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to make good decisions to move projects along to meet or exceed targets;
- Good computing skills; proficient in MS Office and experience with MS Excel and MS Project is an asset.
