Overview of the Role

As a vital member of the Yúustway Health and Wellness Department, reporting directly to the Manager of the Home and Community Care (HCC) division, the Lead Nurse Assessor plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective daily functioning of the HCC program. This position serves as the primary point of contact and direct supervisor for HCC Nurse Assessors, Senior HCAs, and the Client Care Coordinator. The Lead Nurse Assessor is responsible for guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality home care services, the proper execution of Client Care Plans, and maintaining exceptional standards of client service while facilitating access to other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the HCC program and support the Manager in administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with British Columbia's regulations related to Home and Community Care, including delegated tasks and safety protocols.
  • Foster a culturally safe and supportive environment for Nation Members, clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Lead with a strong emphasis on respect for the Squamish worldview, recognizing and honoring individual and community values.

Compensation

The salary for this position ranges from $100,477 to $114,179 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
