Job Summary:

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse - Resident Care to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular wellness visits for all residents to identify on-going needs and services.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director to conduct resident evaluations and gather information at various intervals.
  • Monitor and follow up with residents who have experienced falls, accidents, or incidents, documenting and reporting as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident wellness files, ensuring compliance with Sunrise policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with residents' families and responsible parties to ensure medical needs are being met.
  • Partner with the Resident Care Director and community team to promote infection control standards, including resident testing, training, and skills checks.
  • Regularly monitor each resident's medication and treatment profile to ensure accurate administration and documentation.
  • Participate in Sunrise Quality Assurance Meetings and Clinical Meetings to drive quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved college or school of nursing.
  • Current BCCNM Registration.
  • Maintains a current state license as a professional Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in home health, assisted living, hospital, or long-term care environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of nursing practices, techniques, and methods applied to health and wellness resident care, and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), and Sunrise applications.
