We are currently seeking a Head of Retail Services and Sales who will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing a strategy aimed at enhancing sales growth within the Canadian retail marketing sector. This role involves leading and nurturing a high-performing sales team of 10 individuals focused on achieving profitable growth with significant retail accounts. The position operates on a hybrid model.When your initiatives lead to success.
Formulate and implement comprehensive multi-channel retail marketing strategies that align with all lines of business. Develop both short-term and long-term sales forecasts for budgeting and growth planning. Oversee negotiations and contract renewals with key strategic partners. Track sales performance against established targets and implement corrective measures to meet or exceed objectives. Direct and manage the activities of the sales team to achieve sales volume, growth, and contribution goals. Cultivate the sales team through effective coaching, engagement, training, and succession planning. Ensure strong team performance by managing against key performance indicators and addressing any gaps effectively. Supervise the creation of detailed account plans for key targets and existing clients, providing support as necessary when challenges arise. Foster robust relationships with strategic customer accounts to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Deliver updates and reports to senior management, along with actionable insights for business improvement or growth. Establish both short-term and long-term sales forecasts for budgeting and strategic growth planning.When your expertise propels us forward.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline; a combination of education and experience may be considered. At least 8 years of progressive experience in retail marketing is strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of the retail marketing landscape, familiarity with Sales Force, and experience in retail marketing management. Proven skills in leading and developing a sales team. Strong customer orientation and a results-driven mindset. Excellent negotiation and influencing capabilities. Ability to articulate a vision and purpose that inspires team performance.
