Aquatics Director

At the YMCA of Greater Toronto, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics and Family Programs Director to lead our Aquatics team and oversee the delivery of high-quality programs for children and youth.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction to the Aquatics team to ensure the delivery of excellent programs and services.
- Develop and implement programs that meet the needs of our diverse community, including children and youth with disabilities.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure compliance with YMCA regulations, national standards, and provincial health regulations.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability and responsibility.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure staff compliance with qualifications, training, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Provide training and support to staff, including WHMIS training and pool operator certification.
- Represent the YMCA and the Association in a professional manner, promoting our values and mission.
- Diploma or degree in Recreation Leadership, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field.
- WHMIS training and pool operator certification preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to speak multiple languages an asset.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with proficiency in computer programs.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including visible and invisible dimensions of diversity.
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity, with the ability to identify and address barriers.
