Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student in Human Resources Management to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department at Martinrea International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our HR systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve work issues and concerns.
- Coordinate the Martinrea Orientation Model Program for all temporary and full-time employees, including creating new hire folders, preparing MOM folders, scoring applications, assisting with interviews, and completing the new hire checklist.
- Ensure employees are accurately entered into HR systems.
- Drive employee onboarding activities, including onboarding plans and job-specific training plans.
- Assist with maintaining communication boards and job descriptions.
- Participate in employee engagement events and oversee employee committees when applicable.
- Perform general clerical duties, such as copying, scanning, and filing business documents.
- Assist with staffing forecasting, interview, and hiring processes for direct, indirect, and salary employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and company policies, including health and safety, quality, and environmental systems, human resource policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work in an office environment (80%) and on the production floor (20%), with occasional exposure to moderate noise levels.
