Home Care Support Worker

THURAM HEALTHCARE SERVICES INC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and dignity.
- Assist in regular exercise, such as walking, to help clients maintain their physical and mental well-being.
- Change non-sterile dressings, following proper infection control procedures.
- Feed or assist clients with feeding, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring the client's home is safe and comfortable.
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus, taking into account the client's nutritional needs and preferences.
- Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living activities, such as toileting and grooming.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits.

- First Aid Certificate
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required
