Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver or Personal Support Worker to provide exceptional care and support to seniors in their homes. As a key member of our team at White Wings Home Care & Transportation Services, you will play a vital role in promoting seniors' independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care and Assistance: Provide personalized care and support to seniors, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene, to ensure their comfort and dignity.
  • Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks that cater to seniors' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Light Housekeeping and Laundry: Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Assist seniors with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Emotional Support and Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to seniors, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Independence and Autonomy: Encourage seniors to maintain their independence and autonomy, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and recognize potential safety issues, ensuring a safe and secure environment for seniors.

Requirements:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate: Possess a Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with seniors and their families.
  • Dignity and Respect: Treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect, upholding the highest standards of care and compassion.
