About the Role

The Matrix Hotel is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our property and drive customer satisfaction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-driven hotel with a vision that inspires our associates to excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals.
  • Perform administrative duties, including reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums, and orally communicating with guests, managers, corporate office, local associations, etc.
  • Critically review reports of occupancy, revenue, etc. Make judgments and implement changes to maximize profits.
  • Interview, hire, supervise, and counsel department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s).
  • Recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and approve discipline and all terminations.
  • Participate in community affairs and maintain a positive public image for Crescent and hotel.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis.
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips, and serve on committees such as Research, Development, and Standards committee.

Requirements

  • Keen eye for detail and empowering coaching mentality.
  • Strong desire to continuously improve and help others improve.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a hotel General Manager or equivalent experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of project management and lease management.
  • Working knowledge of financial/accounting procedures.
