Job Title: Recreational Therapy Aide

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapy Aide to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a Recreational Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients in nursing homes and home for the aged settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers to and from recreational activities
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Prepare and serve meal trays to patients, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to ensure a comfortable living space
  • Manage inventory of supplies to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Collect specimens for medical testing, following proper protocols and procedures
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
  • Respond to call signals to determine patients' needs and provide assistance
  • Supply and empty bed pans, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients with care and attention to detail
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, ensuring timely and accurate communication
Requirements:
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Nursing Aide Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization records
  • Tuberculosis test
Work Environment:

As a Recreational Therapy Aide, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
