Job Title: Regulatory Analyst

Hydro One Networks Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Analyst to join our team. As a Regulatory Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of regulatory strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and review of evidence to support regulatory applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and track regulatory timelines, ensuring timely submission of applications and responses to regulatory inquiries.
  • Support the discovery and argument phase of regulatory proceedings, including drafting responses to interrogatories and final arguments/submissions.
  • Review internal project business cases to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with reporting to regulatory bodies on various regulatory commitments.
  • Develop an understanding of various codes and regulations in the energy sector and other entities that impact the sector.
  • Prepare screening summaries of regulatory decisions for circulation to Regulatory Affairs staff and other relevant parties.
  • Respond to requests for information from Regulatory staff, internal parties, and external parties.
  • Conduct research and analysis on regulatory precedent in Ontario, as well as other Canadian and foreign jurisdictions.
  • Prepare a range of correspondence, email, or written documents focusing on Hydro One's regulatory obligations.
Requirements:
  • Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements.
  • A University undergraduate degree in Business/Finance, Engineering, English, or Law preferred or related field.
  • Previous Co-op/Internship experience in a relevant field and/or industry is considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite of applications (i.e., Word/PowerPoint/Outlook/Excel), etc., is an asset.
