Regulatory Affairs Role at Hydro One Networks Inc.

Hydro One Networks Inc. is a leading electricity transmission and distribution provider in Ontario, serving nearly 1.5 million customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Affairs Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and review of evidence to support Ontario Energy Board (OEB) application approvals. This will involve ensuring that Hydro One applications meet timelines defined by the OEB, monitoring progress, and recommending action plans to ensure timely completion.

The Regulatory Analyst will also support the discovery and argument phase of OEB proceedings, including drafting interrogatory responses and final arguments/submissions. Additionally, the candidate will research impactful regulatory proceeding decisions and review internal project business cases to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review evidence to support OEB application approvals
  • Ensure Hydro One applications meet OEB timelines
  • Support discovery and argument phase of OEB proceedings
  • Research regulatory proceeding decisions
  • Review internal project business cases

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Business, Engineering, or Law
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member
