Aon is seeking a highly skilled Health and Benefits Consultant to join our growing Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Aon's success while working with a diverse array of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and consult on Defined Contribution Group Retirement Savings Programs
  • Lead client relationships for small to medium-sized accounts, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Focus on positive member outcomes and work closely with clients to understand their needs
  • Develop and participate in effective presentations for existing or prospective clients, individually or in concert with team members
  • Utilize strong technical investment knowledge and experience to provide high-quality advice and support
  • Manage routine client projects, such as provider review exercises, investment strategy reviews, and program development, with minimal oversight
  • Prepare meeting materials and ensure all client needs are met and projects are proceeding on schedule
  • Participate in business development activities and collaborate with other experienced team members to achieve client results
  • Display confidence, passion, and leadership, and demonstrate a desire to continue learning and growing
  • Supervise, guide, and mentor colleagues

About the Team

You will work closely with a dynamic team of colleagues, leading and contributing to the day-to-day delivery of defined contribution retirement plan services. You will also assist in marketing activities, participate in the development of new service offerings, and expand your skills through continued learning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Defined Contribution retirement savings plan consulting or a related field
  • Experience advising clients on Defined Contribution investment strategy, DC products and investment platforms, fund manager recommendations, ongoing investment monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements and changes in legislation
  • Fluent communication in both French and English
  • Organization skills, rigor, and thoroughness
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Commerce, or a similar area of focus is an asset
  • Positive, strong work ethic, and a sense of humor
