POSITION SUMMARY: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Under the supervision of the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk, this role is accountable for ensuring that all documentation submitted to the Finance database adheres to established accounting standards and University policies.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of the first year of an accounting or business program, along with approximately three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient command of English (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated familiarity with integrated financial accounting systems.
  • Proficient in common PC applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously in person, in writing, and over the phone with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proven capability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Ability to draft both routine and complex correspondence and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Annual salary increases are determined based on hours worked and anniversary dates.
