Position Overview:

As a vital member of our landscaping team at Abacus Service Corporation, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining outdoor environments. Your expertise will contribute to the aesthetic and functional quality of various landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute planting of grass, shrubs, trees, and a variety of flowers to enrich outdoor spaces.
  • Install and upkeep features such as water fountains, fences, gates, retaining walls, rock gardens, and outdoor lighting.
  • Perform excavation tasks, including digging trenches and leveling terrain to prepare sites for landscaping.
  • Ensure outdoor furniture is well-maintained and clean for optimal use.
  • Apply essential materials like mulch, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Manage green areas through weeding, trimming, and pruning to maintain their appearance.
  • Remove undesirable or unhealthy vegetation, including plants, shrubs, and trees, as well as fallen branches.
  • Utilize hand tools and power equipment, such as mowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, tillers, backhoes, and tractors, to perform landscaping tasks.
  • Offer guidance to clients and follow their instructions to meet their landscaping needs.
  • Water lawns and gardens to ensure their vitality.
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems for efficient water usage.
  • Clear leaves and other organic matter from lawns and flower beds to keep them tidy.
  • Dispose of trash and debris from outdoor areas to maintain cleanliness.
  • Operate snow removal equipment and shovel walkways during winter months.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and construction specialists as required.
