About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Construction Assistant to join our team at Energy North Construction Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our construction crew with various tasks and ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation
    • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site.
    • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Material Handling
    • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
    • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
    • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Site Maintenance
    • Level earth to fine grade specifications.
    • Pave and rake asphalt.
    • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Support Services
    • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
    • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Work Experience
      • Experience an asset.
    • Physical Demands
      • Physically demanding work environment.
    • Language
      • Fluency in English.
