About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Energy North Construction Inc. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from project sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in Aligning Pipes: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Assist in Drilling and Blasting Rock: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in Framing Houses: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level Earth: Level earth to fine grade specifications.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Assist in demolishing buildings.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in various weather conditions and be able to lift heavy materials.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
