About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Saminder Bhalesar. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with shopping for food and household supplies, and perform other errands as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, patience, and a strong work ethic.
