About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Life At Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as administering personal care and hygiene.
  • Household Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities and conversations to promote social interaction.
  • Errands and Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping and other errands, ensuring they have access to essential items.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with medication management, including administration and reminders.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably in home care or healthcare.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid PSW certification and any other relevant certifications.
Work Environment

As a Personal Support Worker with Life At Home, you will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, community centers, and other locations. You will be required to travel to clients' homes and work independently, with occasional team meetings and training sessions.
