About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to join our team at Saminder Bhalesar. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and lifting (up to 23 kg/50 lbs).
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in clients' homes, providing care and support in a variety of settings. You will be required to work independently, using your initiative and judgment to make decisions and take action.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate clients' needs.
