About the Role:

Grandview Kids is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, family-centered services to children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assessments on clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology Services to identify problem areas
  • Participate in prevention activities and evaluate the impact of speech-language pathology intervention on identified problems
  • Document speech-language pathology involvement in client care
  • Oversee activities in the speech-language pathology area which may be carried out by Speech-Language Therapy Assistants
  • Ensure that the environment of the speech-language pathology treatment area meets client's needs
  • Perform designated administrative duties

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Current registration in College of Audiology and Speech/Language Pathology of Ontario (CASPLO) required
  • New SLP graduates: successful completion of Canadian Entry to Practice Exam OR registered to complete Canadian Entry to Practice Exam
  • Knowledge of a variety of service delivery models (e.g. consultation, mediator training, individual/group treatment, parent education, etc.)
  • Specialized knowledge of pediatric disabilities (e.g. Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • Experience with children in all age groups
  • Fluency in French an asset
