Job Title: Post Office Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional counter services to our customers, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
- Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
- Provide customers with information and forms
- Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Requirements:
- High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
- Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work
Selection Process:
Candidates will be required to provide a character reference letter and undergo a security screening process. Selected candidates will be hired based on their location and distance from the Post Office.
Safety Sensitive Position:
This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position, requiring the selected candidate to meet specific safety requirements.
