Job Summary

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality and visual appearance of our bakery department. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by adhering to Walmart's basic beliefs and values, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Bakery Department Maintenance: Maintain and zone the bakery area, ensuring that it is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Stocking and Sales: Assist with stocking and the sale of bakery goods, ensuring that shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Follow proper sanitation and cleaning procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management: Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and preparing bakery merchandise.
