About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Folk Dance Teacher to join our team at the School of Indian Folk Arts & Tradition Inc. As a Folk Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching traditional folk dances to students of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging dance classes that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Prepare students for auditions and performances by providing personalized feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive dance program that promotes cultural awareness and appreciation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in dance education
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform dance movements and maintain a high level of technical proficiency
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a concert hall or stage setting, with opportunities to perform at cultural events and community centers. The position requires a willingness to relocate and travel, both domestically and internationally.
