Job Title: Folk Dance Teacher

We are seeking a skilled Folk Dance Teacher to join our team at the School of Indian Folk Arts & Tradition Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching traditional folk dances to students of all ages and skill levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in folk dance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach traditional folk dances to students of all ages and skill levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with other dance instructors to create a comprehensive dance program
  • Participate in school events and performances
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in teaching folk dance or a related field
  • Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a concert hall or stage setting, with occasional outdoor performances. The work environment is noisy and physically demanding.
