Position Overview

As a Software Application Specialist, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the operational excellence of Stantec Consulting International Ltd. Our organization thrives on the collaboration of over 30,000 professionals across various sectors, ensuring that we deliver exceptional services globally.

Your Role

In this position, you will oversee the upkeep, configuration, and functionality of our software applications and platforms. Your expertise will also be essential in collaborating with both internal and external audit teams to uphold compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration Management: Implement configuration changes across multiple applications to enhance performance.
  • Licensing Oversight: Monitor application usage, conduct audits, and establish licensing requirements for future scalability.
  • Security Oversight: Manage user and role provisioning in non-production environments in accordance with established IT protocols.
  • Environment Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to facilitate environment refreshes and execute necessary pre and post-refresh tasks.
  • Patch and Upgrade Coordination: Partner with delivery teams to manage and apply quarterly updates and patches, ensuring optimal application performance.
  • Automation Management: Schedule and monitor application processes, addressing any performance challenges that arise.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Keep comprehensive and current documentation regarding application configurations, procedures, and licensing.
  • System Updates: Address requests for updates related to tax rates, client management, and other critical data.
  • Audit Collaboration: Work alongside audit teams to ensure the reliability and integrity of our information systems, reviewing controls to mitigate risks.
  • Service Catalog Management: Maintain and update the service catalog to reflect current offerings.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience with Oracle Cloud implementations.
  • Familiarity with Oracle eBusiness Suite and its integration with HCM Cloud is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in information systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations is a plus.
