**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer/Specialist to join our team in a key role that will support our production contracts and sales opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Act as the primary technical liaison and representative for production contracts and sales opportunities, ensuring seamless communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the bid process from initial proposals through production, including change requests and configuration audits, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Identify, define, and manage technical configuration requirements, clearly communicating details to customers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring all technical specifications are addressed prior to bid submission.
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
  • Release initial Bills of Material (iBoMs) needed to build heavy-duty transit buses and coaches for a wide range of customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Effectively manage and present project documentation, ensuring clarity and concision in communication.
  • Assign tasks to Engineering designers to complete contract-specific design work, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design and project management principles, with experience in enterprise database software and engineering product lifecycle management systems considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, dependent on specific project responsibilities.
  • General office activities, including climbing stairs and driving, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
