Environmental Services Worker

We are seeking an Environmental Services Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all units as assigned, including patient rooms and public areas. This will involve tasks such as mopping, dusting, and vacuuming furniture, floors, and stairways, as well as buffing, scrubbing, and refinishing floors. You will also be responsible for moving and arranging furniture and changing curtains and drapes.
We are looking for someone who is committed to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices, and organizational health. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Travel to other sites may be required, and access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have Grade 12 or equivalent work experience and be able to operate equipment such as Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
