The Registered Nurse on the Medicine Unit at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with the hospital's mission, vision, and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum two years of medical experience
- Completion of Coronary Care I certificate or recent coronary experience
- Knowledge of Cardiac and Renal Care
- Current certification in BCLS
- Successful completion of the Physical Assessment course
- Preference given to candidates with Telemetry experience and IV certification
