About the Role:

As a key member of our team, the Dispatcher plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students and passengers. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of buses to ensure timely and efficient transportation
  • Counsel and coach drivers and monitors to ensure high levels of customer service and safety
  • Handle heavy phone and radio traffic, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with operations supervisors and contract managers to resolve scheduling and driver complaints
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for major contracted customers, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • May be responsible for handling charter reservations, billing, and driver payroll, as well as providing solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems
  • Perform back-up driver duties or assist with miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed
  • Assist with the supervision of day-to-day operations, including completing special projects and providing support to the operations team

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation, dispatch, or a related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment and software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and constraints
  • Previous experience in terminal operations, dispatch, or driver roles a plus
  • Computer literate and proficient in software applications
  • Subject to background check
