We are seeking a highly skilled Personnel Recruitment Officer to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for attracting, selecting, and hiring top talent to support our organization's mission.

  • Prepare and post job notices and advertisements to attract top candidates
  • Screen and evaluate applicants to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Coordinate and participate in selection boards to evaluate candidates and make hiring decisions
  • Notify applicants of the results of the selection process and prepare job offers
  • Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and coordinate the termination of employment process
  • Determine eligibility for entitlements and arrange staff training
  • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties
  • Recruit and hire staff to support our organization's mission

  • College or CEGEP diploma
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruitment and hiring
  • Strong knowledge of information technology and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Reliability and flexibility
